PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE

 

 

Teachers draw on a body of professional knowledge and understanding of the fundamental educational contexts ideas,

principles and structure of their students needs . It also includes in depth knowledge of the characteristics of students and their implications for teaching and learning.

 

Two Professional Standards fall under this Domain. these being:

Standard 1. Know the students and how they learn.

Standard 2. Know the content and how to teach it.
